About

Why I write

When I was getting ready to graduate from high school, I felt lost.

I didn’t know what I wanted to do and I didn’t feel equipped to make the kind of decisions that could potentially affect me for the rest of my life.

I spent way too much time and energy trying to answer two questions:

What should I do with my life?

How am I going to pay for it?

Flash ahead 15 years and I’m still trying to figure out what I should do with my life.

I’ve learned that if you’re someone who’s always looking to learn and grow then the answer to the question, “what should I do with my life,” is constantly changing and evolving.

Even if you’re one of the lucky ones and you think you know exactly what you want to do, you may be struggling with the question of “how am I going to pay for it!”

I can help with this too! With years of trial and error under my belt I can give you some useful tips on how to make money, save money and stay out of debt.

When it comes to personal finance I believe financial literacy is key. No one will ever care about your money more than you do so it’s really important to have a basic understanding of your finances.

It’s my goal to inspire young women to take control of their money and design a life they enjoy and are proud of.

So, if you don’t know what you should do with your life or how you’re going to pay for it, then WELCOME, you’re in the right place!

Together we can travel on the path to financial freedom with the goal of living our best lives!

A little bit more about me…

what do I want to do with my life

  • My name is Jessica
  • I graduated with zero debt after 10 years of university.  I also managed to save enough money, while going to school, to travel internationally and put a down payment on a home three months after graduation.
  • I’m in my early 30’s, Canadian, married and a mother to two beautiful, crazy baby boys.
  • I’m working towards one day becoming a full time freelance writer.
  • I’m trying to work up the guts to reveal my true identity but I’m still kind of a puss.
